Hi,

I've had an MPC1000 for a month now and just installed the free version of JJOS.

The OS is much better than the original, but I'm having problems using the audio tracks.

1. While recording on an audio track, all other tracks go silent, except for the metronome. So I cannot hear the song and play on top of it.

2. After recording, something weird happens and there seems to be a quiet short loop playing in the background. A bit like a CD skipping/getting stuck. I found that this sound stops if I change the audio tracks input momentarily to digital for example.

I'm using the analog mono L input.

Thanks,

Hi,

Tried again today. Same thing happened. I made a simple drum loop, and then tried to record on top of it, on an audio track.

I cant hear the drums, while recording audio tracks. Is it supposed to be like this or am I doing something wrong here?

Also, on the recordings, there is empty space before anything i recorded. So anything I record, is out of time.

I did not run into the weird looping sound this time though...?

Any kind of help would be great!

Ok, so I found out that pressing OVERDUB+REC let's you listen to other tracks while recording.

But, there is still a long delay on each recording, and trimming them manually kind of defeats the purpose of these audio tracks...

I still feel like I'm doing something wrong here, it should be able to record stuff in sync, right?

Does it work better in the paid versions?

I tried turning TC off, but that did not make a difference...

I see this has been discussed many times before...I understand the silence now :)

By turning of the click and count in, the delay pretty much goes away.

Guess I'll have to demo the commercial versions to see if it works with the count in.
