It looks shiny, and when people first buy it, they get too careful with it and start touching it real carefully and soft like some precious gold. The first thing they touch are the pads, they slide their hands over it, tap it very weakly. They then press the main buttons and try out the scroll knobs on the Studio. It's like... they are afraid it will bite back.
The Q-LINK knobs are not slippery. When you are actually scrolling it, looking for the selection, getting into your production, you will notice the tiny grooves come into play. If you are teasing it, beginning to make love to it, well obviously you are barely pressing on it and of course anything will feel slippery at this point... even erasers.
