How to Find Bpm

Well i havent used the feature but i have seen people find the bpm of a sample with the tap tempo button. I guess what im trying to ask is how to find it what sound do you go by ? the snare kick? when to tap the button?thanks for the help to whoever answers

If you're working with a sound that can be looped then go into loop screen in trim mode loop the sample then open the parameters screen it should give you a Bpm there.

Don't forget to enter the correct number of bars for your loop or you'll end up with a pretty useless bpm.

the tappin that people do is the timing. its the click that the metronome makes. in all hip hop music the time is 4/4 so 1 2 3 4 is the count. u just tap that to a beat 1 2 3 4 and dependin on the tempo it will be faster or slower. but 1 2 3 4 2 2 3 4 3 2 3 4 4 2 3 4 is 4 bars and thats usally 1 unit of muisc. so 16 taps broken down 4 times = 4 bars just keep tappin to the beat using the tap tempo or the winbpm before u sample so u know the right bpms to make ur project.

oh and the kick = the 1 usally. like the first beat is where u start the count. the snare is usally on the 3 so 1 2 3 4

fyi the snare is actually usually on the 2 in 4/4 time...boom, bap...on the 3 in bounce or double time
