Call me old school, but, I would like an analog output expander to track out drums and samples through a mixer, and I would like to be able to do an export for each pad so if you have a drum track you can export each sound (bd, snare, hi hats, etc) separtely with having them on a different track

There are two things (if i don't forget anything) that can't be done from the hardware:

- EDIT ZONES (current, multiple, all)
- SELECT ENVELOPE TYPE (ad, ahds)

I think it would be easy to implement this. As an example, check TRACK MIX, where you can change the tracks in the upper right corner.
In PROGRAM EDIT, there is a blank space in this exact corner. So my solution would be:

- On the Master tab, insert a button to edit the EDIT ZONES.
- On the Filter Envelope tab, insert a button to SELECT the ENVELOPE TYPE.

Please, make this possible for 1.5!

 Important Stuff
1. Currently if you are working with a drum program and you are editing a sequence you have the ability to scroll vertically from banks A to H. That's a whole lotta scrollin. There should be an option to show one bank of 16 pads or all when your in the Program Edit, Program Mixer, Track Mixer, and Track View modes. You can some what do this by adjusting the zoom bars, but you would have to manually re-size the screen each time you want to use the zoom function. This feature would free up the amount of vertical space on screen when using the mpc plug-in or standalone mode. It would help especially when working with small laptop screens.
2. Ability to bounce pads for drum programs to stems w/effect enabled
3. 32 Mono/ 16 Stereo outputs
4. MPC standalone output routing option for mixing

 Not as important but useful
5. EFX side-chaining (I know its not a DAW, but why not?!)
6. An Amp Envelope per layer pad - Helps with creating click, thump and sub parts for the kick and other sounds.
7. User assignable metronome - wav/aiff import
8. Different UI Skins

-clearing the effects of a channel with one simple operation (e.g., right-click on the effect area and select "clear effects")

-ability to swap effect positions; e.g., sometimes i put an EQ there, then add a limiter or a saturator, and later i realize i still want to add something, but would like to have the saturator as the last effect of the chain...now it's impossible to do any swapping.

1. ability to change sequences at unfinished bars in song mode. i know this works in next seq mode(sudden, next bar) but i really need this feature in song mode.

2. to be able to automate plugin parameters.

3. to be able to copy track mixer settings to other sequence. or at least have an option to link the setting.

I have been going over the Ren/Studio argument the whole time since the advent of the software and have come up with a request that if could make the Ren/Studio an EVEN BIGGER game changer. (I hate that cliché)

I few days ago I was pondering a timestretch algorithm for keygroup programs with key-spanning.

Basically, in the newer MPC's (4k, 1k+2.5k w/JJ, 5k) have keygroups that allow you to lay a sample over a span much wider than ordinary 16 levels. (possibly the whole 61 or 88 key span) But, there is a side-effect... The sample will pitch up higher as you move up the keys (C1-C5) but the length of the sample will change, therefore causing a problem for instrument chords. (Piano, horns, etc.)

Of course you can multi-sample each sound in different octaves (C1,C2,C3, etc.) but this is a time-intensive process. (BORING)

There are hardware samplers that are much older that have the ability to handle this caveat. (vari-phrase)

So I propose this request, since the timestretch in the Akai software is the kitty's titties...

Optional (vari-phrase) for keygroup toggle (I'm sure Akai will come up with a different name to trademark.)

This will allow instant faux multi-sample behavior for keygroup instruments.

Example: I can sample one note from a nice lush piano and the keygroup will pitch up and have a uniform length for playing chords.

This would be more likely and optional feature that can be flipped with a toggle in the program preferences. I figured I should suggest it since the Akai software is still being improved on day by day.

Anyone agree?

As stated the MPC software can already do this by first Patch phrasing a sounds, then creating a keygroup.

TRUTH!!!

I don't feel like I have to convince anyone... but AKAI!!! Jah, nobody gives a **** about him or what he thinks!!! (I kid, I kid...jfwy)

But like it or not he is one of the few that have a "close" connection with Akai as far as throwing the Dev team a bone as far as what US in the forum want to see in the Ren/Studio/etc.

I can definitely go without the eternal grandstanding and Akai circlejerking but deep down I honestly believe he actually means well. So I chose to include him in the discussion for some feedback.

I think you would be much better off submitting feature requests to the official Akai community forums in their ideas section, as well as here, and have the request submitted directly into Akai by an Akai support employee, rather than relying on Jah to submit them for forum members.

This allows discussion and questions regarding the feature request to be asked by the Akai support employee, and they can see that more people than just Jah are interested in the request, as there is a rating system in the form of a like button/rating, as well as the other responses in the request thread that they will see.

Who knows what Jah submits to Akai, whether he actually understands the feature request, or puts his own one-sided bias onto it due to his own requirements, or ignorance, as we never see what he is actually submitting to Akai, and there is no way of Akai gauging how much interest there is in the request if they are all coming from a single person.

That's because the MPC 2000XL doesn't have a Track Mixer. It only has a Mixer for Programs...which is exactly like the Ren/Studio software.

You can select Amp Envelope Type from hardware in 1.4. It's in the manual.

The problem is that the track mixer does not have a setting to allow it to use one set of settings for all sequences.

This has been requested by many people, many times.
