Using Reason INSIDE the Ren and having 16 midi channels

Excuse me if this has been done/said already...but i notice some people wanting Rewire in the Ren so they can use Reason. There is a way using the plug-in called RewireVST. I know there is a vid online of someon using RewireVST inside the ren but they didnt show how you can have 16 different instruments in Reason being controlled by 16 different midi channels in the Ren. Try the demo out (google RewireVST) and then load it into the Ren as a plug-in and then have RewireVST open up Reason. Once you do that just load a few instruments in Reason (lets do 5 just to start out) . After you do that just go to the interface of RewireVST and click the "+" to add different channels.Click it until you have 5 separate boxes on the plug-in And in each of of the boxes on the RewireVST instrument select the 5 different instruments you loaded... each to their own box. Now when you select midi channel 1 on the REN it will play whatever Reason instrument is in the first box of RewireVST and midi channel 2 will do the same for the second Box and so on.

One thing I notice... on my particular computer sometimes it freezes and I have to restart the REN... but I think thats an issue with my computer. Anyhow... just wanted to share this (and once again if its been shared already I apologize) . May do a video for it while i still have the Ren (I am selling mine)


Sidenote: After trying it on another system I still get the freezes. It seems the Ren is not liking RewireVST. So consider this before trying.

I tried RewireVST in Maschine about a year ago and gave up on it since I couldn't play multiple channels! Dope that you figured this out with the Ren!

Thanks man... I want someone else to try it because mine freezes up every now and then...and I think its my computer... so if it doesnt freeze with someone else then I know for sure its on my end.

It's probably the Ren. Some plugins causes issues for the Ren and this is probably one of them!

Knock is a clever dude no doubt.

And on his sale posting here, he's a legit dude who goes back a long way in hip hop. I have many multiple acquaintances with him and anybody will tell you Knock's on the level.

This is very difficult because the Rewire VST is only 32 bit. This VST doesn't work right! It keeps restarting. Any solutions! I need Reson to work.

Yeah I did this video months ago, only shows how to use one channel.
Now I am using Reason as a MIDI slave for the MPC. And use midi channels for different instruments.

This still doesn't work for me. It's even harder now that the Ren and reason are 64 bit. I know this is off subject but I can't figure out how to slave Reason to the Ren. Does anyone know?

Well Knock aint gotta worry about this anymore, since his Ren is now MY Ren!

Now I get to battle my way to some form of stability! lol
