Anyone else having trouble with 1.4 UNDO?

It seems that there is some issue with the undo command leaping back far too many steps at random. The autosave feature has yet to save me from this. Yesterday I somehow lost an entire project. All midi data was gone and the project had been open and saved for a few hours. The auto save failed to bring anything back after one of these "super" undos. I have read of this type of behavior before in earlier versions. I brought up the new command history hoping I would be able to select a moment in time and go back to it ala Photoshop, but it doesn't seem to work that way, it's just a log of commands and times.

Has anyone else experienced this with 1.4?

No probs over here but i did notice my undo light wasnt on.It still did its job tho.

I had 3 times the undo flashing and the mpc software freezing up, after a dozen of seconds the app crashed.

Try right clicking on the undo list and drag the mouse up to the ponit and time you would like to go back to.

Ahh ok I'll try that the next time undo malfunctions. Would be nice to have undo fixed all together.

Previous versions of the software with the behavior mentioned, makes me avoid the undo button at all together.

Undo still undoes too many steps at times. Other times it works perfect!

I suggest opening up the Command History Menu and click the 'arrow' to pin it on top of your MPC app. Then when you press 'Uno' or 'Redo' you will know what action will take place.

Note that Undo/Redo can be a single action or series of actions. If you record a drum loop without stopping the sequencer...pressing [Undo] will erase the entire drum loop.

True, but it also seems to behave randomly ( I'm not in 1.4 yet, waiting for repair).. But that's something we could deal with (if redo works) .. I think it's more about when you press undo a couple times and the thing crashes.

"Supposedly"! But for example, the other day, I made a track, went off and did some other stuff in other modes (stopping the sequence several times), came back and made a new track. When I undid something on the new track, it completely removed the new track (setting it back to unused) PLUS removed the notes I recorded on the previous track. All in one UNDO button press. Other times, I'll record something on a track, go in and out of overdub mode a few times, not stopping the sequencer at all, and when I press undo, it will only undo the last few notes I recorded since reactivating overdub. So the undo is still really inconsistent for me, although it does work better than previous OS's.

Thanks for the tip about pinning the history list. But yea the undo will randomly go WAAAYYYY to far back. This has nothing to do with having record on. It will undo multiple manual tweaks I've done to individual MIDI notes and previous recording passes.
