Transfer files from your computer to your MPC with a USB cable, or record your computer/audio interface outputs with your MPC inputs.

no, sir.

my macbook doesnt have a scsi bus. so i cant transfer the cd.
the same reason why i cant use the computer interface and the mpc.

i found a scsi/ usb assembler for 80 euro. it is a bit to hard for 2 cds.
someone have the clue?

Yeah your main issue is to maybe get a disc mounting app if the normal Finder view won't let you view the files. If you can see the folders you can copy the data. Getting the computer to show them is the only potential hurdle.

Some of this may have changed on Mountain Lion. Apple just loves to break everything they can and then not answer any questions on it...

Logic can't do it as and EXS conversion anymore after ML I think.

Another reason to love the MPC4000.

Sorry, carry on...

My pleasure. I have some ISO's I want to look at soon, so if I hit any walls on the latest OS X revision, I'll let you know what if any solutions I find.

No PC available? These things are always much easier on PC and there are more ISO apps and software that read Akai formats.

Who needs those old cheesy and overused Akai sounds anyway...

Stop wasting your time and don't spend money on a scsi/usb assembler for 2 Akai CDs. They are not worth it IMHO.

And the PC route could be $20 at a garage sale if it is that serious.

Did you try to see if the disc is uploaded online?

On that note PM me OP. I am aware of 100's of them and I'll leave it at that.

But you're just going to get an ISO and the same issues. OS X causes countless issues with Akai formats, only gets worse every year. Even a Windows 7/8 PC has no issues accessing Akai data and making PGM's for MPC's/
