Good Morning MPC Experts!
I've checked the manual a couple times on this... and surfed the forum but still need a bit of help figuring this out...

When I have create a song on the MPC5K, I dedicate each track to a specific instrument type. (for example, drum break 1 goes on track 1, drum break 2 on track 2, bass on track 3, synth on track 4, etc....). When the project is complete, I need to export each track separately in order to send it off for stem mastering... but the only way I see to export multiple tracks at once is to use the outputs on the back of the MPC. I'm not using a DAW, so that option is not gonna work.
I know I can export the whole mixdown at once, but is there a way to export each track separately? I've been going in and soloing each track and exporting one at a time... which is very tedius. Any other way you guys know of to accomplish this?

Thanks, and let me know if I can clarify further...

Not an answer you probably want. We ran into this same challenge as well. No way but what you're doing now. There is an option though. We go to a studio with a MPC Studio to use the software. With the software we load the 5k project and export multiple wavs from there.

If you can invest in the software, it makes the exporting workflow MUCH faster. We don't use the software for composing. Still use the 5k for that. This is why one of my requests was for a USB dongle for the software instead of having to buy the hardware. But that's another discussion argued at length already on this board.

Thanks!! As you said, definitely not the answer I was looking for... but at least it is a solution! I actually bought the MPC Studio the day it came out, kept it for a week but returned it because there was latency (with live drumming)... The software was pretty awesome on it, and if I will be doing a lot of exporting it may be worth a re-buy. Thanks for the help :)

You're welcome. We do a lot of exporting, and our songs are typically anywhere from 20 - 30 tracks, so the solo'ing each track is just not an option. We'll probably buy a MPC studio at some point because of the exporting workflow benefit.
