Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

I wonder how I should get the programs I have in the MPC4000 into a EXS24 instrument?

I have tried doing AKAI convert thru the EXS24, but it cant find the CD-roms I burned.
I copied my samples & programs from AK.sys to the MAC OSX desktop.
Burned all files on a disc with TOAST DELUXE "Mac & PC format", which the EXS24 couldnt find.
So I thought maybe the format was the problem.

So I burned another one directly from the mpc using an external CDRW.
But that disc the EXS24 couldnt find either.

So how do I do this? Cant the EXS24 read MPC4000 format?
How can I make the EXS24 read my MPC4000 programs?

Well if someone knows how to do this, feel free to reply.
Thanks.

That's what you get from going soft! ;P

Maybe you could try the sample format conversion programs like Translator or CDExtract.

If it can't find the CD ROMS that you are burning, how about just a folder on the harddrive. Eliminate the additional equipment to make your troubleshooting easier. Seems like both attempts document issues with samples on the CD ROM... can you verify that the issue
exists without CDROMS'?

hehe, well yeah Rob, thats what I get for going soft...
I hate to do this, but it takes to much time sometimes to have all my programs in the MPC, when I have all the songs in Logic.
I cant say I have any good experience of using MPC4000 and Logic together.
It feels like either you only use the MPC, or only Logic when you working with the tracks.

Thx for the tip about the programs.

And the thing is, renegadebliss, that EXS24 program is so stupid that it only can convert AKAI programs from a CD-ROM.
So you cant convert directly from a folder on the harddrive.
