has any one got pro tools express to work

i recently sold my mpc studio and brought a ren ,also selling cubase and was gonna just use the mpc software and maybe get logic in a bit but before i thought i'd give pro tools express a go.
cannot get it to work keeps telling me i have no ilok ,i do and it has the licence on it i'm waiting to hear back from support
just wondering if any one else has it working

I don't know which support you are waiting for but if you have an ilok and you say the pte lic is on it then you need to contact avid not akai. Did you register pte with avid?

yep went to ilok then to avid got my conformation email and all that
contacted avid waiting for reply
either way its been a lot of hassle for a free bit of software

Hi aldred, I have the same issue and just gave up trying to sort it out.
I tried various things that other users have suggested around the net, since then avid/ilok are forcing the use of the download manager thing.. and the work arounds are no longer valid.

Can i ask if Avid sorted you out or if you found another work around for it ?

any info would be great.

i think the problem was there avids site wouldn't let me register my software with my ilok account i went back there sunday and redone it and it seemed to have worked i used that ilok manager and it asked me to surrender the licence on my key in exchange for another then pro tools worked
i did message ilok about my ilok wouldnt sync correctly so i dont know if they did anything

Tell me more about cubase, whats wrong with it? I was thinking about getting cubase 7...

It seems they did a total revamp of the software
