Does anyone have experience with partitions on the 950 with scsi?
I like the architecture of the floppy emulator but its very slow like the floppies were because it is using the same path as the floppy drive did. The reason I like it is because each beat I save is isolated from other beats on separate floppy images, so I never have to worry about overlapping files with the same name getting erased or overwritten.
I always start with a program that has everything set up for the sp1200. There are 32 key groups all set up midi wise to correspond to each pad on the sp, and each key group has a ghost sample assigned to it with the name of the pad I want to use it on. So if I want to add a 950 sample to pad 1 on bank C of the sp, when I sample on the the 950 I name the sample c1 and it will automatically replace the ghost sample in that Keygroup and get triggered from c1 on the sp.
I think this is a common method for sp users, nothing new here, but if I were ever to upgrade my 950 with the scsi option I might need to re work this formula because all my beats have samples named c1, c2, c3,... And so forth.
If the 950 allows for many floppy sized partitions then this would not be an issue.
I've tried searching with keywords lik s950 partition scsi but I haven't any info on this.
