Is that definitely coming from these plugins?

Yes, in my experience it was. On a few projects I kept getting a crash when I tried to save. A couple of my projects got corrupted as well. Removing the emulation plugins allowed me to save those projects and I never had an issue since.

Lucky tou, mine is even crashing without any plugins loaded.

From what I was told, you should completely remove them from the plugins folder and rescan.

Another thing to keep in mind is that with every update, the actual vintage mode plugin files also get updated. This does not automatically update the plugin file copies you put into your plugins folder for the hack to work. However, I tried updating my plugins folder with the current emulation plugin files and still had crashing. So I just stopped using it altogether. I would suggest people stop using it as well until its officially supported.

Akai saw this and were pissed, as you can see from Dan's response. He came out like "How long you think that'll last?".

What did Dan say?

Very naive to think they could keep the vintage VST plugs hidden behind the front panel buttons, when they are standard plugin files on the computer, with the same names as the vintage modes.

Also not a good look to imply that they are going to cripple their use beyond the front panel buttons, and then possibly do so.

Where is that response from Dan ?

So next time I like to share my finding in 100th of pm's to ya all ?

I just responded to the forums requests to use the vintage mode plugins on single tracks.
