Assign pad without triggering sample

Is there anyway to assign a pad without triggering the sample?

You probably have "autoplay" of the samples enabled. You can disable it by clicking the F2 button on the renn/studio when you are in the BROWSER

A. Click BROWSER & press F2
B. Tap the pad you want to load the sample onto (pad will turn green - which gives it the go)
C. Find the sample you want
D. Press F6

Now it's loaded. And if you disabled the auto play, it shouldn't have played the sample. You should have quietly assigned the sample to a pad.

B & C can be switched around.

F2 - autoplay of the sample (enable / disable)

While you navigate through sample edit, or program edit in the hardware always is gonna trigger the pad you want to select, in the software you can select it in the Program Edit without triggering it.
So the answer would be NO.
If you were talking about the File Browser then the previous post answer is right.

Yes, I meant navigating through sample edit and program edit on the hardware. That's a shame seeing as the MPC4000 could do this so you can select pads on the fly without it sounding a then edit the sample of use the filters etc.

Yeah should be the 4k way...maybe we can make a Feature Request about it.

I was also wondering if you can assign a track via pad mute so that when you leave pad mute the active track is the one you selected. I seem to recall something similar onthe MpC4000. It would be a quick way to get to the track/program you want to fiddle with. Another feature request!
