Thoughts on 1.4 so far

Le's have no more discussion about who has the right to post in this forum/topic. Isn't this supposed to be 'thoughts about 1.4'?

my experience within 1.4 can be summed as: "one step forward and two step backward".

like i said on other threads nice impruvments feature wise, but new bugs, much worse plug-in compatibility (osx and au) and too many crashes which before (1.3.1) i never had.

Thats a shame, im done really, put the ren on the second hand market.

Just updated to Live 9 and komplete 9 and gonna take out from the closet my ol mpd 32.

when i fancy hw im gonna use the jjos 2500.

happy for the user that dont have this problems and enjoy their device, me im loosing too much time and tracks need to be done.

my thoughts are that even with 1.4, they still havent met the goal of CATCHING UP... and will probably STILL be missing some essential MPC functionalities after 1.5 drops...

to me this is obvious. no need to support fraudulent marketeers to acknowledge this...

but, carry on...



stick to two bar loops and its "the most _____ mpc ever" though...

Exactly....but those who have not actually used 1.4 are compelled to comment as seen in approx 4 of the past 5 posts by individual forum members

So since this thread wont be around much longer I thought I'd share my thoughts on 1.4 again...


It's better than 1.3.1 IMO.

It's still not enough... I'm boxing it up. If I haven't gotten around to selling it I'll check out the next update and the one after that etc... but If I decide I could turn it into something I want/need more in my studio then it'll be game over for my Ren.

For now it's back to Cubase and Battery 4, might pick up a CMC PD to use for now :/

The only reason it's not out the door yet is because things were kinda similar when I pre-ordered Maschine and it got a lot better but took a while. Just don't want to sell it for peanuts if it gets good some day. It's time to get down on making some music for real though and thats all too frustrating with the Ren. Back to good ol Cubase (you never let me down).
