Sampling songs straight from macbook,ipod and cdp help

I just got my mpc1000
And I want to sample straight from macbook,ipod and cdp
would 1/8 to dual 1/4 cable work?
how bout 1/8 to dual RCA
And if it does work, which one would be better for sound qualities and stuff

Yes thats the one.

get an interface. 1/8 laptop output sounds like ass. and not because of the cable. the output itself is a piece of crap.
