Ok so, I've used a workaround for this but maybe there's another way.
I use and mpc to trigger a 950, so only the 950 is hooked to the speakers..
things being this way:

how am I supposed to hear mpc's sequencer metronome?

Do i have to waste a channel just for an mpc out playing it, or can it be midied somehow to the external module you're using? Right now what I do is, plug headphone in mpc headphone out and bang it at full volume so I can hear it over the speakers (if they're not too loud..).

thatdbe lame. I mean akai knew mpc and s series would have worked in tandem, they should have incorporated a metronome sound in the racks aswell which would have played according to the midi tempo being fed.. engeneering fail:(

They might assume that someone using an MPC with a S series would want to hear sound from both, and would have a mixer.

I think you need a mixer.

or

Do you have the 8 individual outputs in the MPC? If so, set the click to one of those outs, hang a small computer speaker or something cheap off of it, or do the same off of the stereo outs.

I don't know but isn't there a way you can route an MPC output to the S950 input and monitor the metronome using input thru or something like that?
