downloading samples onto mpc 500

I don't know how to download samples onto my 500. its connected to my computer via usb but theres nothing in my devices that recognizes the mpc 500. do I have to download drivers or is it something else? any help greatly appreciated

do you have a compact flash card in the MPC? all the usb cable does is give you access to the CF card.

yeah I have a cf card I just don't know how to put the kits and samples I download onto it

I don't have my 500 with me at the moment but I think you need to press mode + load (or save) and then scroll until you see "USB." Then your computer will recognize the CF card. After that, just drag and drop.

as much as its true to 'read the manual' its a dick move for someone to say it...

connect the usb to your comp and mpc, make sure the cf card is inside the mpc, and press mode, load, and scroll until you see usb and it should go from 'not connected' to 'connected'

then youll see it pop up on your computer, make sure the samples are in wav format and drag and drop.
