Hey guys,
I know this isn't a super fun thread, but quick question.

My REN has been solid as a mofo on my MacBook Pro since 1.0, but for some reason the software crashed three times during my first day using 1.4. It didn't freeze, it just quit.

I wasn't using any plugins, just samples. Safari was the only other program running at the time.

Is there something that could potentially help me here? Would a fresh reinstall help out?

Thanks pimps, playas and hustlas...

I use the Ren in both 64 and 32 bit mode on OSX 10.7.5. If you have problems with crashes, post detailed information about what you are doing here in this thread. If you have crash reports that you are willing to forward to me, send me a PM.

Thanks Jah,
I'm going to try out 32 bit tonight, as well as 64. Does reinstalling everything from scratch do anything, or no?

Since we are dealing with computers with numerous apps, drivers, etc., reinstalling the MPC software/drivers could be a solution.....as well as re-installing your computers operating systems.

No third party plugins. I have good news though. I reinstalled and set up auto save for every five minutes and I haven't had a crash since. I suggest to anyone experiencing a freeze, reinstall everything ... including the hardware driver.
