Hi all,

Just wanted to report back that I had some issues with pad 16 for a bit.

All of a sudden the LED(s) started acting strange when I hit it. When it was supposed to be yellow or orange it would be green instead. If I hit it with full velocity it would just be an extremely dim red. Would not stop acting up, so I powered the controller on and off...same thing. I restarted the software and had the same thing still.
Next I powered off my computer completely as well as the Renaissance. When I turned it back on, same thing. The pad was still messed up like the yellow led was shorting to the green and the red was dim for some reason.

I figured that was it something wrong with the hardware. I was showing my girlfriend the problem and kept hitting it to show her how it looked compared to the other pads and all of a sudden it started working again.

I wanted to put this up here in case anybody else is having this problem or has had this problem. Maybe we can zero in on it being a bug (software or firmware) or maybe it will end up being a hardware issue not sure yet just wanted to put it out in the open.

Nukai's legendary hardware build quality coming to the fore by the sounds of it.

Dig your receipt out just in case.

Yes, there were about three threads about that problem and i think no one tried to switch the pad pank to see if it happens on all banks. Which would then increase the possibility of it being a hardware issue...

It wasn't me but I thought that another member had a problem with pad 16. After messing with it a bunch it's back to normal. It's honestly not in the nature of hardware electronic components to stop working then start again unless you have a bad solder joint somewhere or a loose connection. So that's why I was thinking it could be a bug in the firmware.

oh and I switched through all the pad banks and it continued to be a problem until it mysteriously "fixed" it's self.

my pad 16 worked ok, then didn't, then did, now doesn't again..

that's all with no software update or any changes to the ren...

hmmm.

but i'm too lazy to do anything about it. its only 1 pad afterall. most annoying in step sequencer mode.
