I want to know how you guys figured out AUTOLOAD?

Was it in an addendum to the manual?

Now that I am using these controller I don't want to have to manually assign all 51 controls again. I just want to have three different templates for usage with controller.

I don't recall where I read it but I didn't get the info (or virtually any info for that matter) from the manual.

Setting up your Autoload with a single template is easy, but I'm not too sure of the best way to set it up for three. Someone else will have to chime in on that one.

I believe AUTOLOAD was added to the OS at a later stage, most likely documented in an addendum.

Yes, there were manual addenda PDFs issued for every OS update. Some just had a few lines of bugfixes, some had half a dozen pages on how to work new features.
I would strongly recommend you read them, or you miss out tons of stuff.

I kept asking Akai if they would let me have the Adobe FrameMaker files of the original manual, so I could update them to include the info from the OS Addenda, but they told me "they'd lost them"
So instead I just annotated the Reference Manual PDF with little adobe "post it note" comment bubbles, it is still in the Files section of the MPC4000 Yahoogroup.
