Nice thread. Maybe it's a good idea to make up some clear rules?

Mixer/ interface and monitors included? Same for vinyl?
And I think it's also a bit of cheating if you say: "Macbook with Logic, Reason, Fruity Loops, Reason and all my vst's." So maybe one DAW per computer?

If so, I would go for a MPC2500, a TT and Logic.

I dont think that helps... it's all about the 10 million vst pluggins.. the daw is merely a sequencer almost.. well audio tracks too

I've been listening to my old hip hop and house music demo cassette tapes from high school (1988), and I'd love to go back to the days of my truly first music gear setup...
- Casio SK-5 sampler keyboard
- Roland TR-808 drum machine
- And a Technics cassette tape deck for recordng and making pause mixes/remixes.

I was full of musical ideas and was resourceful as **** back then when I was a broke kid with minimal gear.

Desktop, FL Studio and turntable. I would be missing a midi controller, mpd24, vinyl. :(
