MPC Ren and Studio together

Has anyone tried to use both at the same time? I purchased a studio for traveling but wondered if it can be used together at once. I have all my midi equipment to the side of the studio hooked to the ren and wonder if I would be able to use the studio at the desk to work in the same session?
