1) Full automation of all internal sampler parameters including keygroups. The automation sets could be broken into folders for each keygroup including the "All" keygroup)
2) FX plugin automation.
3) Pitch or Assignable (to pitch and other destinations) Modulation Envelope.
4) More Destinations for the LFO
5) Another LFO in the sampler
6) Another Filter in the sampler
7) Multi-Core Support.
8) Individual envelopes and filters for each of the 4 sampler layers.
9) A duplicate function in the sampler editor that appends the selected audio to the end of the file.
10) A loop "x" number of times in the sampler before playing the rest of the sample.
11) Realtime swing adjustment
12) The ability to select multiple files/samples in the project section (for deleting or dragging to a new program).
13) The ability to select multiple programs/plugins in the project (for deleting or saving)
14) Make it so "enter" on the numeric keypad also functions as "load" and "do it" unless a numeric entry slot is selected.
15) Have a "go to" button in step sequence mode so that you can quickly go to the section that is playing to edit the steps.
16) Expanded locate section with more locations and the ability to name those locations.
17) An audio gate plugin
18) Route MIDI to FX plugins for triggering gates, envelopes, etc...
19) Ability to change the sample rate in the sample editor (by 1/2 etc from 44100)
20) INSERTS ON SUBMIXES!!!
21) 16 stereo outs and 16 Submixes WITH fx plugin inserts.
22) A turkey sandwich.
23) I could go on but we gotta save something for 1.6 right?

It's not the traditional.

I have brought this up since 1.0

Great to see some people have noticed this incredibly stupid omission from the Ren.

I mentioned this a while ago in this thread
viewtopic.php?f=45&t=165590

The thread takes on a new dimension but basically what I said in the first post is what its all about.

The REN/Studio desperately needs this fixed by adding an option for a universal mixer.

gimmlabb wrote:1. ability to change sequences at unfinished bars in song mode. i know this works in next seq mode(sudden, next bar) but i really need this feature in song mode.

2. to be able to automate plugin parameters.

3. to be able to copy track mixer settings to other sequence. or at least have an option to link the setting.

3 sensible suggestions. Good to see people suggesting these rather than some of the nonsense I see.

But instead of just copying mixer settings from one sequence to another we should have a universal mixer option not linked to sequences. Of course why not have the ability to copy sequence mixer settings as well to enhance the current mixer implementation.

Time synced seq changes from pads - a no brainer (ie sequences changed at 2.3.0 starts from 2.3.0 on the next sequence. Brilliant for jamming out live arrangements, live performances. We dont always want our sequences beginning from bar 1 when using the Ren as a performance instrument.

the ability to pitch shift or time stretch all the samples within a program at once... ableton like warping basically but for a whole program globally.

Oh and i know this has been said already but please... some kind of drag and drop from plugin to DAW... Or even an export to audio while in plugin mode. The lack of it is killin the work flow. lol

Smooth zooming in using a Q-Link (+ shift ?) when in main midi note view.

As it is, I find it clumsy zooming in when you're working on the hardware. Clumsy, or you have to leave the Ren and use your computer.

I was just coming in here to say this. I'm gonna check out your thread. A universal mixer should be #1 on the list. Mixing on the Ren is horrible.

1. ABILITY TO ASSIGN VST TO A SINGLE PAD
2. ABILITY TO DRAW IN MELODY PER SINGLE PAD TO BE LAUNCHED WITH SOUND SAMPLE.
3. ABILITY TO DRAW IN MELODY PER SINGLE PAD TO BE LAUNCHED WITH A VST PLUGIN.

#1 disregard

#2 would require the ability to choose (click, drag, and drop) a VST from the left menu. it would open up & attract alot more artists who want to design their own sounds with a synth (custom-designed, custom-automated, etc) and launch that sound with a tap of a pad. Currently, VST is available to be used on a separate track; however, I can't find a way to assign it to a single pad only.

If #2 does not exist, then we would have to:
a. record the sound, get it a name (takes 2 minutes)
b. edit it (takes 2 minutes)

I agree with all of these, including the turkey sandwich.
One big thing I don't think anyone has mentioned is the ability to export tracks and the submixes in one go, instead of exporting tracks and then exporting the submix separately. Also I would love the option to route effected pads with the rest of the program to the same track. If I load reverb on my snare pad, I am stilling thinking of the snare as part of that same program, I don't want it to automatically go to a submix.

When/If "Plugin loading failed This plug-in file no longer exists" window shows up when loading a beat, it would be great if it actually say which plugin is missing from the session.

I AGREE with ALL of this 1000000000000000000%. Beats I could've finished in an hour takes hours even days sometimes partly because of this and other issues.
