Are you referring to using it as a VST within Cubase to trying to re-wire it?
I have it working as a vst, but not at first. i had to go into the "preferences" dialog within the MPC software and tick a few boxes in the 'sync' tab to get it working properly. Choose Midi clock as a send and turn on the send and receive MMC control.
Not sure why these are off by default, but that's what finally got it working for me here.

The MPC plugin is Monotimbral on the input side. Basically meaning you can only trigger one track at a time from an external source. You can send the MIDI data from the pads to play other instruments loaded in Cubase but you can't use MIDI in Cubase to play the MPC software like a sound module.
