Another trick for dealing with this is to just keep sampling, sample, sample, sample, sample, and then sample some more.

I've taken advantage of the fact that it's very easy sample over and over then load those samples to a bunch of pads. So I resample and then remove the FX and try to save as much mixing as I can until the end. It's not ideal but at the same time the limitation can force you to move on and just finish the song.

Stick to using the Program Mixers while creating multiple sequences. DO NOT use the Track Mixer initially. After you have your sequences finished, link the sequences in Song Mode and then export into a single sequence. At that time, use the Track Mixer.

OR

Skip using Song Mode altogether, and compose using a single linear sequence. This will eliminate issues when it comes to mixing.

The program mixer should be eliminated from the software and the track mixer needs to be back to on single mixer across all seq. just like in the 2kxl. I'm slightly confused with your work around. After I finish song mode (I usually do this), export the mix? Then what bring it back in the ren? And use track mixer then? Doesn't seem logical. But I don't think this is what you ment.

What I have been doing is keeping my seq at my preferred length of 16bars. I creat multiple tracks Latham are going to be alternated threw. So I might have 12 tracks but 4 of them are get muted at differant times while building seq. after I get all my plugs in that I want for efx. (A basic mix) I then duplicate my seq. go to the seq I want those four different tracks on and delete or mute the other three.... So now I have 4-5 seq with all same plugs at the same fader levels. I then go to song mode and bounce stems to put in logic for (my not so great attempt at) mastering.
At first read I thought hellfire was accessing trak mix from song mode. But I must have miss understood his post as well.

It would be dope if there was an annual convention for mpc-forums users to go to. Kinda of like soundclouds gatherings. One on each continent of course since we r so spread out.

The 2000XL does not have a track mixer. Don't know why people keep repeating this false information.

Fully aware of the 'demands' some have regarding the mixer. But I talking about what it does at this very moment....not what I hope it does in the future.

Whatever you think . I knew you would not come with something constructive. But yet try to start an argument. Still a tool. Don't know why I attempted to speak with you about anything.

I don't think he said that the MPC2000XL has a track mixer, you are making that up.

What he did say, is that he wants the MPC Software track mixer to operate like the MPC2000XL mixer, in the way it does not change between sequences.

The MPC is designed to chain together sequences in real time, that is one of the core features of the way the MPC operates, and what differentiates it from most of the linear DAW type sequencers.

The current MPC Software track mixer implementation does not support that sort of workflow very well, many think it needs some sort of option to lock the track mixer to a particular setting when changing sequences, and a way to copy a track mixer setup from one sequence to other sequences.

It already does this in Song Mode, where it uses the track mixer settings of the first sequences and applies it to the rest of the sequences within the song, so it isn't really the big deal that you like to make it out to be.

You already fully understand all of this, I am not sure why you have to argue every time it is mentioned.

I see it as a demands from 'most', not 'some'.

You always talk about what you hope it does in the future. I am sure I have seen long lists of feature requests from you, many of which are are minute changes to the operation of MPC Software, and I don't see anyone arguing against your ideas.

Everyone is aware of what it does now, and it is not doing what most MPC users expect, that is why it is discussed, and changes requested, so frequently, by so many users.

He said a single mixer across all sequences. The 2000XL has a Program Mixer. When using this program in multiple sequences, the settings are universal. The Ren works exactly the same way with MPC Drum Programs. If you use the same MPC Drum Program in multiple sequences, its settings are universal.

Everyone here, except for you, wants the track mixer to operate in the same way as the program mixer, so that it doesn't change between sequences, just like the mixer on all previous MPCs.

That is what he is saying, that is what everyone else is saying, you are the only one that doesn't get it and feels the need to argue against it.

There is no point, you have no idea, as usual. :Sigh:

You have no idea what I want or don't want as I never told you. On this topic, I merely tell forum members what the Ren/Studio does as compared to hardware MPCs. If you say that you want a Track Mixer to work like the Program Mixer..great. But to say or imply that the Ren/Studio performs differently than all hardware MPCs in this regard would be inaccurate.

Some things are obvious by your need to argue them constantly.

JAH wrote:On this topic, I merely tell forum members what the Ren/Studio does as compared to hardware MPCs. If you say that you want a Track Mixer to work like the Program Mixer..great.

That is all everyone here has said, and you constantly feel the need to argue against it.

Everyone here knows that the track mixer did not exist on previous MPCs.

Everyone here wants the track mixer to operate like the mixer on previous MPCs, the way they expect a mixer to operate in an MPC, to not change between sequences.

That is all users are asking for, and for some reason you have to argue against it constantly.

JAH wrote:But to say or imply that the Ren/Studio performs differently than all hardware MPCs in this regard would be inaccurate.

The track mixer does perform differently to the mixers in previous MPCs, it changes between sequences, and can not be set to stay the same when changing sequences, therefore it does perform differently than all hardware MPCs.

That is why it is a constant and ongoing feature request from many different users, which for some bizarre reason you are unable to accept and let go of it, you have to constantly argue against it in some weird attempt to always be the (only) expert, the pinnacle of knowledge, on everything relating to MPC Software and controllers.

Previous hardware MPCs have Program Mixers only that perform exactly like the Ren''s Drum Program Mixer. Using a Program Mixer in the Ren the same way as an MPC 2000XL, it settings do not change between sequences.

The Ren's Track Mixer doesn't perform like the Ren/Studio's MPC Software Program Mixer nor does it behave like a hardware MPC Program Mixer....

Yes, that is what everyone is saying, everyone already knows that the track mixer does not behave like the program mixer.

Everyone knows it already!!!

Everyone wants it changed, so that the track mixer can operate like the program mixer, and not change between sequences.

What exactly are you arguing about?

It already does this in Song Mode, users want an option to do the same thing in Main Mode, it really is not the big f'ing deal that you always turn it into.

Anyway, there is no point arguing this with you, again, everyone here already knows that the track mixer does not operate like the program mixer, and they want it changed...continue to argue yet another thread into lock, as you always do.

Everyone knows here at at the Akai site your feeling regarding this issue has you have repeated it upwards of a 1000x already. My comments were not about your personal crusade. It was to clarify what a hardware MPC and the MPC software does. There is nothing to debate..nothing controversial about the facts I posted.

I don't think I have posted about it on the Akai site at all.

Your mind making things up, again?

It is obviously not just my personal crusade, judging by the number of different users asking for the same thing.

You obviously feel that there is something to debate, because you can't seem to stop yourself from doing so every time it is mentioned.

You make things up to argue, when they have not even been said, like in this thread, someone says they want the track mixer to work like the mixer in the MPC2000XL, and not change between sequences, which is a valid request, and you turn it into a multipage argument.

simon thanks for trying to clear this up with dingle. but you shouldnt even feed his obnoxious (im allone in japan so i use forums for social interaction). like here im sure he has pushed anyone that could tolerate him away. i didnt continue to argue with him cause he is just one of these guys who uses his military money to purchase high end gear. so he can come and talk about them on forums. he doesnt even make music with the stuff. this is a fact that gets thrown in his face each time he starts this bull. this is my last time interacting with the tool. Frankly i feel sorry for him. its a bummer he cant act right cause i really dont care what he does with his free time. the bummer is he does have allot of info about many differant things but his personality is so horrible you cant have a simple talk about something before he starts arguing. and not just a simple debate its usually with the sence of (i know what im talking about you obviously don't!) type of attitude. just ignore him like alll of his entries. just act like the tool is missing from the toolbox....
