MPC Software v1.4 Bug Reports

PLEASE fix the abnormal behavior this UNDO button does ever so often. For example, I'll press the Undo button once, and the DAW would undo itself several steps back instead of one step back. weird. I literally had to write "NO!!" on a piece of masking tape and tape it over the button so I don't press it...

When I come out of Song Mode, I can't stand it when the mpc sequencer switches to the next sequence automatically. I'm not sure if I explained this correctly, but this issue bothers me and others...if there's a solution to this that I can do right now, I'd love to know. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everybody from Russia!) First of all sorry for my english. Few days ago i bought mpc ren, and got a problem when i am going to my browser and choosing to show me programs. I got a list of programs, but when i drag one of them and drop on pads in software it doesn`t work. I mean no samples are loading, and when i hit the pad there is no sound. And before each name of the sample standing "?".
What is could be?
I used software v 1.0, then upgrade to 1.3, 1.3.1 and 1.4 but still have this problem.

Are you sure that your samples are in the same folder than the PGM file ?
Where does your program come from ? Another Hardware MPC or the MPC 1.0 software ?

Sometimes MPC Ren act like a "Blyat"

actually i`m sure, cuz when i don`t use filter i see all files: programs, samples and projects...but i`ll check it today again...

MIDI NOTES SENT INTO THE RENAISSANCE FROM EXTERNAL KEYBOARDS ARE GETTING STUCK. IT HAPPENS OFTEN WHEN PLAYING CHORDS. IT'S AS IF THE SOFTWARE GETS OVERWHELMED. PRESSING STOP A FEW TIMES QUICKLY DOESN'T RELEASE THE NOTES AND I'M FORCED TO RESTART THE SESSION. THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE. IT HAPPENS ON PLUG-IN TRACKS AND MIDI TRACKS. THIS IS EVERY SINCE THE 1.4 UPDATE AND HAPPENS IN 32-BIT & 64-BIT. I'M RUNNING WINDOWS 7. EXTERNAL KEYBOARDS ARE MOTIF XF6 AND FANTOM G6. BEFORE 1.4, THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN.

I had similar Issue with TAL - Bassline, on a plugin track, notes stucks, seems like if it receive no note off signal, need to switch the REN off/on or close the software to get it to stop ^^ but even in 1.31 thought.

Midi Volume bug is still here. It sets Volume Max on some plugins when playing from the start of a sequence without automation.

(IE "shit" happened for me with NI Kontakt 5, Tal - Bassline, Lennard Digital - Sylenth)

1. If u choose erase "Erase: Except Note" it doesn't erase everything but the note the first time u hit it...it complete this operation the second time you hit "Erase: Except Note"

2. If I play and record piano chords and then stop the sequence and then overdub the same track to add a sustain pedal while its recording and stop the track..when I hit undo it does not undo the sustain that I've recorded..

3. Qlinks do not change the number values of the parameters of the midi program controller screen...it will only change if you use the master jog wheel

4. Once you make a midi program and change the parameters and switch to the default one it doesn't effect the parameters that were changed in the previous program edit...

5. Loop recording when u record a note at the end when it's about to loop that recorded data gets cut off it doesn't loop over.


6. Sometimes the Undo from the hardware flat out stops working sporadically

That Undo button/function made me stop my work just to come on here and post this smh.. What a vibe killer

Anyone else having issues with the folders? Whenever I click on folder 2, it highlights both folders 2 and 3.

DO you set the same folder for the 2 and 3rd shortcut. If yes, It's just the way it works.

- Something to do is : - Ability to Delete/Copy automation tracks + Tools for editing it ! And show CC numbers on it !

When I'm in song mode and hear a sequence I want to edit, I usually hit the main window and edit said sequence.

The Ren will still think it's in "song mode" and switch to another sequence while editing said sequence, this can be frustrating and lead to all kinds of ungodly misfortunes for you find yourself suddenly editing the wrong sequence.

I found you have to start and stop the sequence once or twice to get it to work right coming out of song mode

No, he should warn people also because thats some bull THAT COULD WRECK A WHOLE PROJECT!

Its been doing that to me and I got real work ahead.

WARNING this MPC software 1.4 be trippin sometimes, PROFESSIONALS!


No rant just sayin....

it won't work correctly with ableton either.

i got each sequence of mpc studio linked to its own ableton live clips.
this way i can launch each clip and record it onto ableton.
but the mpc studio keeps playing whatever sequence its display screen is displaying.
