I need a knob and slider filled midi controller, suggestions

just bought omnisphere and my original plan was a desktop synth like a nod lead our virus. I went with a vst instead. I'm looking for something I can map all the knobs to omnisphere for live performance. I already have ableton push but I'd love a dedicated controller just for omnisphere tweaking on the fly.



any suggestions?

I have the omnisphere app but I want more control. I will use the iPad too

Dabblerobb, the MIDI Designer Pro app is 50% off at $11.99 right now. I might recommend that. Graphics aren't as Tron saucy as Lemur, and it lacks Lemur's friction and physics engine that you can use to dictate fader/knob and X/Y behavior (like completely spell out how a fader throw will happen if you "fling" it and let go)

But it's a really solid app. The free one is there too, just has limits on how many controllers you can use.

I got a BCF 2000, love that thing. Works with Ableton out the box as well as Reason with no programming. I know you got Push, but motorized faders with recall for $150-$200 is pretty dope.

You have multiple pages on a BCF you can toggle so even with only the 8 top knobs you can still have a lot mapped.

Haven't actually used it, but there's touchOSC, which looks like another good custom iPad MIDI controller app.

(it could be crap for all I know, but it's worth looking up, and it's only like $5)

I'll use ipad for the orb or morph or whatever it's called but I'd prefer a hardware unit. I have an mpd 32 all mapped out for rmx.
I want something more for omnisphere.


I'm already planning on getting trilian and rocking all 3 live in ableton

Evolution UC-33e or CME Bitstream.

Both hugely programmable. Getting harder and harder to find these days in good condition, but they are out there.

The Bitstream can be a bit of a pain to program to be honest, but the UC-33e is the Midi controller that keeps on giving. Had mine for years and years. One of the few bits of gear that has been a constant.

A live PA stalwart.

Had a BCF and it broke, two label mates also tried them out, they broke too, in all cases the faders stopped working, they are indeed cheap, but are noisy and crap, the BCR is ok, but for the money my recommendadtion would be on the UC-33e
