Let me guess, you only bang out girls you love right? The flowers outta here, you went out of your way to post a topic on a PUBLIC MESSAGE BOARD about only sharin' knowledge with people you know personaly, now I'm not "dissin'" you but how dumb is that? With the exception of a few cats that feel the need to start threads to let each other know they gonna be callin' each other later tonight(what the flowers is up wit that?) everybody on this board is strangers so maybe you should start your own board and invite all three of your close personal friends and ya'll can school each other on shit ya'll already know, ya'll are bound to stumble across some NEW knowledge that way, right?

The whole purpose of this site is a community of dudes who share the same passion. There's always a learning curve when you first buy that MPC or whatever you purchase--and the fact that you can come on a website and read about other people's struggles and get some tips is a GOOD thing. This site, along with tweakheadz.com are the two best sites to learn about equipment and this art we call production!

I just wanted to add that I think alot of pepople with mpc's from far and wide would have a lot of trouble getting to know how to use their mpc's to get the most out of them using just the manual. I also think this site is cool, now if people want to listen to all the advice and just use that an emulate what others are doing big/little producers etc. then they will be a clone and nothing else. Anyone with real passion does not want to be a clone.

Like a few people have already said this forum provides basic information to build upon and use to build your own style. It plants seeds of imagination and inspiration, to make you think right when i get back on my mpc I will try this that..etcc. I believe that things evolve by someone taking an idea and adding to it to craete something new. the first scratch was a baby scratch it's now the crab! But on the same note I think if anyone has the passion enough to search out mpc-tutor then they must be worthy of some help.

If that made any sense? at the end of the day there is nothing wrong in helping people get the basics..

some of the best teachers i ever had dont 'care' that much about me, shiiiiit the woman that taught me for 7 years hardly say hello anymore, not cuz shes a b*tch, cuz she got other students now.
it would be nice, an old skool and 'hip hop' if a teacher only had one student and a student only had one teacher but this aint karate kid, the world is too big for that.

lamp and prah and tutor (+ all members) have been teaching thousands of people.... why it gotta be some sacred one on one, personal relationship? if my scsi connection doesnt work i need someone to f*ckin school me as to why!

well what an amazing OVERREACTION, so sorry to have disrupted your way of life with my opinion. (sarcasm)
I had no IDEA my text was so powerful...
did not know, that my very will could threaten this which you love so very much. (sarcasm)
but, NO, by all means Please continue to teach and WE ALL will continue to learn. (sincerity)
I saw the tremendous response generated when I said the forum was what it is. Of course a fool would defend the foolish...
not that you're fools, a pizza man would defend pizza...
Anyway, ALL I really said was this, Teach someone you care about, not just some stranger.
Am I wrong?
then DISAGREE WITHOUT DISSING ME !!!
what are yu stupid?
I don't think you are, so why yu gotta call me a dyck?
I been schooled, and I schooled, but ALWAYS with someone I knew and respected. It makes a tremendous difference.
Now for cats that live out in B.F.E. Sorry Your options are low...
but you still can find a like-minded-soul...
Or maybe this forum is for you
I first made a beat on a 4 track tape deck with no idea that other people were doin that, I thought I invented pause tapes,(Ahhh, the mighty ignorance of youth)but the experience I gained doin that is invaluable, and me and my man had mad fun making those crunchy old beats.
Then He got a 1200 by mistake( funny story) it was back to the drawing board, we actually used the SP for drums and the (fostex?)tape rig for other samples, it was pretty satisfying to hook up a beat and get it right.
main thing is, yeah sometimes there is NOONE to learn from, well improvise, and If MPC- TUTORS is the best option, then let's all be glad it's here.
I wonder what's next?
WRITER-TUTOR
VIRTUA-B-BOY ACADEMY
it aint just HIP HOP, I feel that a lot of things on-line never should have been digitized, but I guess that's what they call progress.
BTW I acknowledge that not every one in this thread responded like a donkey barking in the mirror, peace to the peaceful...
Science are those real mics? Damn,... How they sound?
anyway Lemme run before they lynch me on the short bus...

Sunny aren`t you the cat with a MV8000 over at the 4k board running back and forth to the MV8 Nation and here. You had your happy a*s*s* in MV and you didn`t say a peep!!!!! And now you pop off on the mpc forum for real to help or are you fake trying to start up ignorance running back to kiss trusty`s ass. Come on if you really feel that way start your own board and see if the ones you care about visit your site. That was a backwards A*S*S* long winded comment about nothing. Like anyone going to listen to you!!! Bout nothing, Saying nothing. Each is person has a right to their opinion put this in off topics not production techniques cuz it sounds, and smells like bull****. I disagree with fake asses showing up on the board showing their asses. Don`t no one run to the MV Nation with that shit. On the internet, on a forum, checking out a website on drum machines talking straight bull. Sounds backwards ass to me.

Personally everyones opinion is theres......
So I dont judge a thing.....
But saying that the sharing of knowlege is Supposed to be a hidden art not shared over the web.......
Is kinda trippy to me......
Knowlege to me is worth more than anything you can sell me....
Cause Iam about progression...
And if I love to learn I know that most everyone else hungry for music loves to learn....We are in an industry that no one knows about...
I mean Remember when you where 12 and 10 Could you imaganine being able to score a whole entrie orcehstra on one tiny box in your house.
A MPC...
For me to even find any info about the MPC was hard back in the day...
Now that I gained this knowlege cats need the food I got or else the game stays stagnant...Look at hiphop right now...I mean f@@@@ look at Eminem..If DRE had not been like yo I think this kid has a one in a million shot of making it big , why cause he had the drive to stay up 24 hours a day in the studio and learn from dre day in and day out...
No who produces the same sounding dre beats???Eminem..
Teach as much as you can cause one day youll teach someone whos kid will automatically have that info in his genes..
And I know that on this planet there is a 2 yr old using an mpc 4000 schoolin me and everyone of you....Wit some Boom Bap secrets that he made up himself and is gonna shape a whole society....how did he get so good...
Who knows lets just hope he shares his secrets!!!!
Peace

i think its shallow to hold ideas to yourself..you need to spread info and knowledge and be a teacher..people learn
