Software Version 1.4 - Report any plugin issues

Ren/Studio Users,

I am attempting to compile a list of plugin issues in order to send them to developers as needed. Please feel free to list any issues you have using the MPC software as a plugin or plugin host.

Starting this off:
I can't open the MPC VST or AU plugin within NI Maschine

In Cubase 5, I´m not able to resize the MPC Plugin window ^^
I´ll upgrade to Cubase 7 or switch to PT10, Live 9, or maybe Studio One, Reaper...

For you, What is the most handy Host for the MPC plugin ?

The resizing of the plugin window works in Cubase 6 on up.
You can not resize the plugin in studio one.
You can resize the window in Logic X.
I can't remember if it works in Ableton but I think it did.

I like the way it works in Studio One the best but not being able to resize the window kills it. If I need to I just route Virtual MIDI and run the MPC in stand alone mode.

STEINBERG'S HALION 4 VST ISN'T FUNCTIONAL.

NI Solid Series plugins not adjustable from the hardware at times.

UVI workstation crashes on load up.

Worked fine before 1.4

Might be an idea to put your system OS etc with it as UVI is fine for me for example.

Izotope Trash 2 (VST) has some serious graphic issues; you can't make anything out of it.

112 db Big Blue Compressor crashes the software when I adjust it's settings, in particular the stereo/width setting.

After I record notes using Dimension Pro VST when I stop the Ren and then restart it the volume of Dimension Pro goes to max and it sounds distorted, even when I lower the volume the sound still sounds distorted.

- When Using Kontakt 5.2 with some huge library, Kontakt.dll crash when closing the MPC software. (Not a Kontakt version related, It crash at closing since MPC Soft 1.0 with every Kontakt Updates I used 3 & 5)

- Mda plugins bundle cause freeze when scanning VST folders from preferences. I had to supress some from the folder, now others are working. I can't remember which plugins cause problems...

This problem with massive was not MPC software related... just found the fix here :



(- When Using Massive last version in a project, some 30-40 seconds freeze happened to me when browsing presets... I have a lot of presets folders btw... I gave up using Massive in the reN Each mouse click is an adventure

Crashes when scanning UVI and MOTU BPM
Gotta get a fix for these. I use both of them a lot.

I assue you are using 64 bit 1.4 MPC Software? I am using Motu Mach Five which uses the UVI engine. Please forward Akai tech support or myself your crash logs if you would like your issue addressed.
