You don't need to know how to play a keyboard AND you don't even need a keyboard to make music.

I'm sure there are many FAMOUS people in the industry who will not admit to not KNOWING how to play a keyboard. Some even make a joke out of it and try to make it sound cool to NOT know how to play, but there are many options not involving keyboards so it's all about how you wanna employ those options.

then there's a mixture of both, some people don't even know how to play, but they'll play chords or a simple melo. on a keyboard then edit and quantize it in a midi sequencer.

but yo, learn the keyboard if you already know enough sampling, look at just blaze, he can make some dope ass half synth half sampled shit.
