Plugins

Can I record tracks from my mpc drums with my plugins or do I have to only use plugins and if so how???

A little more info would be of use. What MPC are you using? Can you stay within the lines?

I'm using the mpc studio. I want to be able to record my mpc drums and multiple chords on different tracks but when I switch tracks and sounds on my plugin it play the new sounds with the other tracks pattern.
