Hi all,
Can anyone translate the low/high pass numbers (1-100) on the MPC 2500, to frequencies?
I usually just use my ears when I'm setting low and high pass, which I'm sure many will say is the best way. But sometimes it would be useful to know what frequencies I'm cutting, especially as I often read articles which recommend keeping certain instruments around certain frequencies for the best listening.
For example, when I started on the MPC about a decade ago, a friend told me to low pass the bass to about '20'. I did this for a long time, but sometimes I'm going higher and sometimes I'm going down to about 10-15, which sounds good to me, but it would be helpful to know what frequency I'm at so I can make a better judgement about whether I should be increasing or decreasing this number!
I hope this makes sense...
