there shouldn't be any background noise. how do you have it set up? phono-in or mic-in? if you're in sample mode, say something or clap and make sure it's not picking up your voice or clap. it should only pick up what's directly coming from the input. also in the preferences/audio settings make sure the input is set to mpc renaissance and not built-in microphone

IT IS ALL ABOUT THE OLD AND WORN JAZZ SAMPLES...WHEN I USE THE HP FILTER TO FILTER THE BASS FROM THE SAMPLE, THAN CRACKLES THIS SAMPLE AS MUCH...

There are noise, click, and pop removal tools but I prefer some noise and dirt in my recordings. It makes it sound real, like something that exists in reality and I think that is important in music today. Clarity is too easy to achieve and can sound sterile and devoid of life. I prefer organic electronic music, giving life to something that is normally mechanical.

A lot of de-noisers sound terrible if they are pushed too far.

I tend to just draw out the worst offending pops or clicks with the pencil tool in Cubase if they are especially bad.

I just commend you for using Jazz records and not the Soul samples that everybody and their baby mama uses. I mean sheesh even Kanye West abandoned that sound.
