Noob question about output leads

Hello people. I'm very new to this, in fact all my gear is still in the post. I have ordered an mpc1000 and some krk vxt4 monitors only problem is I cant find out which leads I need to hook them all put together.

ha just sussed it... it think. its a combo socket on the back of the krk's!!!! it takes both 1/4" and XLR and mpc1000 is 1/4"

I think this is right... and I presume that balanced leads would be better.

MPC1000 outputs are unbalanced (see page 103 of the manual) so using balanced cords would probably give you no benefit over unbalanced ones although both will work.
So yes, use cords with 1/4 inch plugs.

No excuse for not reading the manual before your shit arrives.
