I've been noticing a weird issue with my MPC3000. I just bought the unit and it is in absolute mint condition. Last night I was sampling some 808 samples into the MPC3K & I sequenced out a 2 bar loop. After about an hour (& about 10 samples into the project) one or two of the samples stopped playing out of the right speaker. Some sounds would still play in stereo, however some would not. Intermittently, almost rhythmically on the same bar counts, these sounds would momentarily come back into stereo.
What the hell is going on?
I have 32MB of memory & I'm only using maybe 15% of that memory. It was doing this same thing BEFORE I even upgraded to the 32MB.
The only thing I can think of is that the problem is happening because I am running 3.08 as opposed to the most recent 3.11 (not counting Rohan's 3.16 / 3.5).
Anyone else ever experience this issue? It seems like a digital / firmware / software related issue since other sounds are maintaing their stereo signal.
If it WAS hardware, what hardware would cause this? I'm almost positive it is the software, but why???
Thanks!
alex
