childrens records

do any of you guys use samples from childrens records when producing? i find that they have some pretty interesting stuff and the creativity is huge

of cours.. those records are supe dope for samples, i use them all the time.
i love to dig for those records too, i got some ill sh!t spanish, english ,german,.

most of them have simple melodies with few instruments, so they're great for getting single hits.

childrens records r good for getting that popular sound, like i think beatnuts flipped a few childrens records.


in fact i need to start digging for more of those types of strange records cos lately ive been exlusively on the soul and sound tracks.

funny you bring this up.....I sampled a bunch of them and use em for a couple of my bands songs. They have some pretty good stuff to work with, just takes a little creativity.

I've found that children's records often have the ILLEST vocal samples for intros and outros to songs/tracks/whole records... the classic one I always use is from an OLLLLLLLLD one I have from the 50's where this little girl says, "...I have been waiting for this one for a long time. Are you ready? Listen close..."

they got some hot shit.....keyboard samples you can use as double time melody

I've found sum ill childish loops from my collection of childrens records. If I go diggin and see any childrens shyte I'm def gonna cop 'em.
My favourite is some kind of childrens birthday party collection. It includes sick choir songs and xylophonesh!t.

I recently started working at a school and today I stumbled on 3 crates of kiddy records in one of the classrooms and I asked the teacher if I could borrow them and she's like " those old things.... Take em all if you want" No need to tell me twice!! I'll let y'all know how it works out.
