Completely new to mpc, got a brand new mpc 2500 special edition for cheap.
The mpc becomes more or less unresponsive when trying to load songs from audio-cds. I have tried about ten different cds, more or less new. I get the track size and try loading (DO IT) - and nothing happens.
Out of the ten cds I tried only one has been possible to play. And this one is skipping, and suddenly changes tracks when playing, and at track four became unresponsive as well.
Some times I can push the main-button and get back to the mainscreen, while other times it just stays in the loading-screen.
There is 128MB memory and 128MB flash-card innstalled, with about 4 MB used already. The tracks I have tried loading are from 30-50MB so it should be enough...
My guess is it is a cd-rom-problem.
I'm running the original OS that came with the MPC.
Any solutions?
(Should I in any case install JJOS or something similar, is that reccommended in general?)
