CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND THESE MONITORS (UPDATED-yamaha msp5)

i can get these just like the blue skies for $400...are these any good?anybody recommend them or should i wait for something better?

Nah get some proper monitors that can give you a TRUE sound.

Genelecs, Spirits, NS10's something! but not those!

for that money I'm sure you can get a good ACTIVE PAIR of speakers.

Dont know shit about those speakers(I'd get some Events for that price) but Roselyn Sanchez will get beat up!

I think I've heard that those speakers aren't too bad, but I'd say they would be too coloured for what you want man. Get some proper nearfields.

I've heard they give a pretty acurate sound, and are considered the best in their pricerange by some. I quickly listened to them in the shop the other day and they sure sound a lot bigger than they are.

I also read a review in Future Music (UK) where they tested 4 pairs of monitors blind, just by listening, and they came out on top by a big margin.

Just came from Sam Ash(picked up a microkontrol), gave the Blue Sky monitors a listen, not bad at all, don't pack the punch of my PS8's but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They are small as all hell and still sound great, for the price(499 at Sam Ash) these are pretty damn good, I'm gonna cop 'em myself.

Sorry man, I thought you were talking about the blue skies, which I thought were basically a really nice set of computer speakers.
The MSP5s apparently are nice for the size and price.

Had 'em for 4 years. Very good speakers. Self powered and amped. They're small but heavy as f*ck. I even use them to dj house parties and when people come up to see them they look at them in disbelief. Very powerful speakers and you do get accurate and true sound from them. No regrets. You get your money's worth.

stay away from the blue skies the sound is very colored I recently tried to do a mix on them and I had to change the monitors out very quickly they sound ok when you listen to just those monitors but awful when you put them on something else I would def. go with the yamaha's and I would mix on those any day of the week over events or behringers if you get a chance check out the KRK V6II's they are about 700 a pair or the V4II's for about 500 a pair they really sound great

Get some KrK's or Genelec's instead.
