'Play from' pad

MPC 1000 on JJ OS1 (v4.99)

This has always been an issue, but maybe its just the OS design.
When I trim samples, the play from pad (pad 15) only previews a few seconds of the sample. So say I'm editing a long sample, if I put my start point at 0 and my end point at the end of the sample, the play from pad will still only play a small portion of the sample.

Any1 else notice this?

I think it's the OS design. It's probably the same behavior from AKAI OS to OS3.

It's not an issue for me. I think it's just fine to check the end point with "play from" or "play to".

Do you wish it was longer or user-adjustable?

It's not that much of an issue for me either, but it can sometimes kill my editing workflow - i.e not knowing if I should discard the rest of the sample

It would make sense if it just worked as you would imagine it would, 'play from' not 'play some'.

Just sayin
