I got a big folder of .wav drum sounds but some of them can be imported and read by the MPC and some don't. What's up?

Sometimes I still laugh out loud about the beat kangz and that time some English dude hacked the Akai marketing website and stole a bunch of pictures of the Ren before it was released.

1st thought- Check if they're 24 bit samples. MPC1K can only read 16 bit.

When will peeps actually look at the back of the 1k manual, pg 91, and see exactly what these samplers wanna be fed? Not all samples are created equal (check sample properties in a wave editor or even itunes was mentioned for checking). Fifth time in a couple of days, this same question. Search and research

and when are people gonna start solving this problem by just sampling those sounds instead...
