MPC Studio Controlling Logic Pro 9!

What's up everybody?!! So I've slaved Logic Pro 9 to my MPC Studio via noterepeat.com and their guide(I've slaved the Logic Pro sequencer to the MPC Studio sequencer). My only problem is that when I hit Rec+PlayStart on my MPC, Logic begins to record but doesn't record the first MIDI notes I play on my Novation Impluse 25 key. For example if i'm laying some chords down. I've worked for weeks trying to just accomplish this sync between the Logic and the Studio and now i've hit another brickwall NOTE THAT THE MPC STUDIO IS RUNNING IN STANDALONE ON V1.4 OF THE SOFTWARE AND LOGIC I'M RUNNING 9.1.8. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is KEY to my workflow and I love using the MPC as the master sequencer

So on Logic place it a bar or two before bar 1?

it's still not catching the first note/notes I play. Logic seems to be lagging on the sync with the Studio. Have you tried Presonus Studio One? I need a DAW that I can slave to the MPC Studio, going on my fourth year making beats and trying to get a solid workflow because people are starting to ask me about buying beats and at the moment i'm at a brickwall
