CRASHES !

My Ren crashes about 50% of the time when I load a project over another. I find myself having to go into task manager to stop the process, which is usually at some ungodly high number...

I've gotten to the point where I have to reload the software every time I change projects. :?

This is a work flow killer bruh.

Just tried to outsmart this thing, I left my task manager open so I could monitor the process...

Loaded a project, clicked "new project", it prompted me to save my current one, etc.
I was thinking I'm now starting with a clean slate....

So , I loaded another project on top of the new " unused " project and it STILL crashed

Oh and the way, the Ren seemed to retain all the memory from the project that was no longer loaded and then added new memory on top of that.

It was like a double dip bruh. No wonder these things crash

File a bug report in the bug report thread. Be sure to include your system specs, plugin info, etc. Save crash logs, make video of this bug, etc. If you send me your offending projects, I will compile all of this data and send it directly to the developers.....

This applies to all bugs anyone finds......

So Jah If I have a project that has been corrupted in some way I can send you the project file with a description of whats corrupted, and you will submit it? Whats your email?

I hate being a beta tester but if Akai cant staighten out the stability on there own then damn, I guess we have to be beta testers if we are ever going to see immediate fixes to the software. I rarely give bug reports for the fact Akai's team should be handling this sh-t but whatever. It's getting to a point where sending in my big reports seems like it will be more productive than actually making a beat. smh

This is the nature of the beast of any software product (which also includes the operating systems of legacy hardware MPCs)..especially a product that has only been on the market for almost 1 year. But they have given us 4 updates and a 5th one is coming.

With software, there are too many variables (computer models, operating systems, other software, etc) to ensure a product is completely bug free. Software updates are released with known bugs not fixed. In addition to that, new features can add new bugs. A major point to note is not all users use these MPCs the same way. One user may have issues that other users have not encountered. So it is impossible for beta testers (inside/outside of Akai) to catch every bug. But I assure you they are hard at work almost everyday.

I spend a lot of my personal time reading these threads and submitting bug reports/feature requests of forum members..as well as my own 'issues' I uncover from personal use. I do this as I enjoy using MPCs and would like to see Numark/Akai continue developing them.

To sum it up, if you encounter a bug..report it as soon as possible if you want to see it fixed. If Numark/Akai keep releasing updates as frequent as they have been in the past year then another update should be due within the next 3 months.

My email has been sent via PM.

:hmmm: No, it don,t and it doesn't matter.

I noticed today that the sample's loading on my computer screen are behind in numbers showing on the hardware.
And then it stopped.
No connection or a runtime error.

I just sliced the samples and saved them. :hmmm:

:WTF:

Older sliced and large projects are loading properly.
but most give it up in the loading stage

**** this mpc.!

Sorry to hear about your problems. I would be frustrated if I ran into issues preventing me from using it. I personally enjoy using the MPC Ren and could never go back to primarily using a hardware MPC.

Should you change your mind and new help troubleshooting any issues you are having...I am always available to help. If it is a matter of a bug, I will promptly report it to see if a developer can address it in a future update.

Peace.

I has something to do with the mpc project file.
When I delete it from the specific folder of the project on the computer
all samples can be loaded without any proplems.
When I save it again, and try to reload it again, same problems occur.
I then have to delete the mpc project file again. :hmmm: :WTF:
