I'm having problems recording midi data into the Mpc plugin.
1) I have protools 10
2) I'm opening an instrument track in pt with the ren plug in
3) I open a midi track in the Mpc with the right midi channels
4) I set the instrument track in pt to the same midi channels
5) I arm the plugin to record along side some material already recorded in pt ( guitars
And other live stuff)

I want to sequence some external synths into the Mpc using the plug in.
I can hear the external synth, and the ren and pt are synced up recording but when I play the sequence back nothing is recorded in the ren. Any suggestions?

I'm on a MacBook Pro lion , Mpc software 1.4 & external synths

Thanks for any help you can give me .

i think you should just sequence your midi stuff thru pro tools only and leave out the mpc ren or open the plugin in the mpc ren and not pro tools but i could be wrong bc why try and open the plugin in pro tools and then sequence it on the mpc when you can do it in pro tools

When the Ren is used as a plugin, it's MIDI ports are mapped to your DAW. You will have to create MIDI Tracks in Pro Tools and select MPC Output Ports there. I posted a video that may help you.
