Can anyone shed some light on how keygroups are used in JJOS? I'm trying to load MPC4000 AKP programs and that's not working. Any chance I can convert SoundFonts to something this thing can recognize?

Thanks.

it recognizes 16bit samples at 44.1khz

And it wont be called keygroups.

Just cos it is a MPC does not mean all the files are compatible with each other from other MPCs.

Did you read the manual at all?

did you try and make instrument program? this is what you want. You also failed to tell us which JJ OS your using to so can not point you to the right manual.

In JJ OS XL you can make your own instrument program with key range assignment tofor each of the samples so make one of these to make multisampled instrument

hey mqueue
unfortunately the keygroup feature is not the strongest in jjos.
there's only 1 velocity layer, first of all
second, it's a new format so anything made in a 4k will likely have to be recreated by hand.

i consider inst groups more of a synthesizer than a sampler. load up a couple of simple wavs and go to town
