God, eminem is so gay!

Eminem is trash. Highly overated. People always say sh1t like he's different from everything out but he's the only one who gets a pass and doesnt have to make a club joint to get heavy rotation. There's mounds of mc's out there that have lyrics but most of them cant buy a deal. If you're a ni99a you gotta be on some carbon copy punchline sh1t, club banger sh1t, or some joint for the ladies sh1t. But then they wanna praise Em for his varied subject matter like all ni99as can rap about is money, clothes, hoes etc. Tell Jimmy Iovine to sign somebody and not force they hand to make that radio single and let them "do them". Even Dre tried to make the God Rakim "bring the guns out". Neverless none would sell as much as Em but we would get to see mc's who have more to rhyme about then what gets played on the radio. Plus most of Em's fans aren't even hiphop fans, he get's no play in the hood unless he featured on a joint w/ someone else. NOBODY I know owns an Eminem album.

I don't get how ya'll hatin on him so much. Just forget about it.
Basically you're doing exactly what he wants you to do: talk about him.

To tell the truth, I find Em's stuff kind of refreshing once and a while
since it's not the same cookie cutter formula of so many other rap videos.
I like it when I can watch a rap video and laugh at the humor.

Oh ya, and someone a few posts back was dissin Em, and upping Kayne,
in one of the scratch mags, Kanye admits to trying to steal Em's disk of
beat samples while he was in the can or something. That's just gay...

the new album got a few hot ones... Mockingbird, Toy Soldiers, shiz even the Encore track with Dre and 50 is hot... and damn i HATE 50...

I didn't read all the posts in this thread but I thought I'd add my 02. to the convo. Eminem is a clown, that bein' said, Em's flow is flowers' crazy, his lyrics....... I don't pay too much attention to what he's sayin'(some of that shit is funny tough) but like I said, it's his flow that is sick.

For example, I'm listenin' to the Blueprint bootleg and "Renegade" comes on, so I'm listenin and then I hear what I thought was a broad(didn't know Em was on it) and I thought to myself DAMN!!!! who is this biitch killin' this track better than Jay did? So I figure out it's Em after a couple of listens and I had a new found respect for him.

All that bein said, it's ALL subjective, cats like what they like and that's realy all that's to it.

I also didnt't read the previous posts... but eminem has ill flows...anybody that ever listened to infinite knows that...and a lot of his freestyles are some the best ive ever heard...i personally like his old stuff better...cuz you gotta be on some dumb sh*t..to appreciate encore....Listen to the song hellbound its one of his best....Just my 2cents on the sub....

true talk... outland talkin about a cookie cutter formula but only a white mc can break out of the formula and sell like em does and the rest are forced to conform to whatever the label and the powers that be want to market him as...

I see what you're sayin, but I don't totally agree with it having to be a white man or anything. Like, I'd say another MC thats sort of breaking out of the formula and adding a little humor would be Ludacris.

really, i hate ems newer beats, all of them.........but there is no dening his flow and ability to put together songs.

is jay z really that good? or is it all hype and the fact that everyone thinks hes so good that make him good?

Im not hating on either of them, but really, even though they are "the best" they still arent my favorite MCs....so what is good? how much they sell? or how much everybody else likes them? or what the TV says?

I don't agree....but i feel you on this...I think it's cuz Em has more content/emotion/subjects that are identifiable with many people from many crowds....

CoooCooo1 - I agree..... Em's first verse on renegade is what i would tell anyone to listen to if they think eminem is wack...... truth be told... (and i'm just speakin my point of view...i know someones gonna come back and try to prove me wrong which is fine) but Eminem's rhyme structure is insane.....If you listen to Renegade...listen to the way he rhymes his Syllables...not just words....... Listen to the whole verse and listen to every word that has the Oooh sound ...he emphasizes every one.
