My grandma just gave me her turntable... This is my first turntable. It's an Akai AP-100C. I'll be using it primarily for sampling. It uses an Akai PC100 cartridge and an Akai RS100 stylus (which I'm also looking to replace). This is a belt drive turntable and I need a preamp for it. What's a good, accurate-sounding preamp in the $50 price range? If the preamp can give a nice warm sound, that'd be a plus.

or a dj mixer.

at $50 it doesn't matter.

This.

$50 will get you something decent. So will $75. A good mixer can be $250 to $2,000.

Shop around and check the specs for what you need before buying.
