I Need Help With My MPC 2000XL

Hello MPC world, well i just bought an MPC 2000XL off ebay and I'm new to MPC's so i need help connecting headphones to my MPC. I recently bought a 1/4" male to a 1/8" female jack and everytime I connect my headphones to my MPC I can only hear sound from the left side so I don't know if its the headphone adapter or MPC. Any advice would be appreciated.

See how this adapter has two "stripe/rings"around the plug...you need that.

Sounds like you maybe got one with only one stripe/ring which will be mono, not stereo and default to Left channel only operation.

If your adapter is the stereo one, you'll have to troubleshoot further.
