Hello

I have a mpc60 (first one) in good condition considering her age, however, if I turn her master volume knob, I hear cracks en hiss.
Do you think it's possible to fix it by opening up the machine and clean the area (dust etc...)?

thank you

...first turn it off and tweak it for and back for five minutes.....

if that does'nt help....yesh, open it and put some contact spray on it....but buy the most expensive spray you can find...the cheap ones make it even worse after two month....

I had the same thing on my 60 a while ago. It sounds funny but it fixed itself. Its gone now after using it for awhile.

So its good advise to turn it forw and back that itself may fix it

Yea open and spray it with deoxit. It might even be loose. When I worked on my 60 the wire was loose. Look up deoxit and MPC on amazon and you will find the right spray.
