+1 for non-destructive sample editing
Also auditioning samples while playing sequence (maschine does this)
More work on the browser.

Of course, no crashing would be great. It's a lot better than 1.1 but it still happens.

Leggo - I don't want to go back to Maschine. I'm an old school MPC dude and I'd like to stick with my tribe. :-D

I searched your posts but didn't find any reports related to crashes you have. Your issue(s), if any, can be fixed if made known.

Only 3 functions I voted on made the Top 10:
1. Multicore
2. Audio tracks
3. Nondestructive chopping

Audio tracks is the one I want the most....

I never used them on the MPC 5000 or the 'fake' ones on the MPC 2500. They were just too limiting. But in this MPC 'DAW', I think it could be perfect. I mentioned it before....but I would prefer not to use the MPC Software as a plugin. I want the Ren/MPC Software to be the next Reason, Live, FL Studio, Studio One, etc.

I hate using MPC/Maschine/Reason/etc as a plugin while creating. I do while tracking, but for creating, I like strictly standalone!

hope new update is around the corner to bring this mpc up to date, this is probably longest wait yet

I believe Ren/Studio users had to wait for the 1.3 update the longest. The 1.4 update was released in last week of June. Every update has been released in under 3 months.

Edit -
v1.1 Oct 12
v1.2 Nov 12
v1.3 Feb 13
v1.3.1 Mar 13
v1.4 Jun 13
v1.5 coming soon......

If 1.5 implemented that top 10 I would be an extremely happy man!!!

I also concur with your sentiment of using the MPC completely as a stand alone device with no need to go elsewhere. If they make this happen, once again I'll be an extremely happy man!

So, Akai 13th Sept 2013 (13/9/13) something going to drop hey???

Hmnnnn...just over 3 months since the last update hey??

.....just under 3 months since the last update. It's approaching a year since the last update of the competing product.

1. global mixer
2. fix bugs
3. select multiple on hardware in program edit
4. eq built into program edit (to add frequencies to sounds)

I dont care about audio tracks. I dont want the MPC to be able to do everything like reason or whatever. just use reason or pro tools for the things that theyre good at (audio editing, mixing). I like having limited options. It makes me think different. When you have all this extra shit that you can supposedly do, you end up getting stuck versus being creative and figuring out a workaround to get it done.

not to say they shouldnt update and upgrade everything, but limited options arent always a bad thing. they just need to be rock solid and make sense for the MPCs intended purpose.

((fyi i use the MPC for my whole music process (sampling, composing, mixing, etc), except tracking vocals in which i use protools))

Noted. But the Ren caters to more than just one person. Audio tracks is an essential part of a software workstation. Is there a software workstation on the market that doesn't have audio tracks? The MPC Software and Maschine are the only ones I can think of.

Users that need this functionality, especially those of us that prefer standalone mode, don't want to open up Pro Tools to record audio tracks. Guys like me (and Australia Simon..or whatever his name is) have alot of MIDI hardware. I have 4 MIDI Outs to connect my gear to the Ren but no way to easily record it into the MPC software.

As far as bugs, what issues are you having? Report any that you find in the dedicated thread. Beta testers have combed that thread and channeled up all reproducible bugs. I believe most of them have been or being addressed for a future update. I haven't done this in the past...but when 1.5 is released, I will create a thread and post specifically what bugs reported in the forums have been fixed.
