I have a major issue after updating and im in the middle of a session.
I attempted to update OS128XL from 1.13 to 1.32 my exact steps were as follows:
1. i backed up my files (phew)
2. I deleted all files from the CF card
3. i copied the file i downloaded from the jj site titled "mpc1000_128xl132.osl" to my cf card and launched it.
4. i turned on my mpc1000 after it told me it was complete

Now all i get is a screen that is white and reads "mpc1000 (128MB Installed) os128xl start" then it goes blank only leaving a white screen and then the same text appears and again goes blank.
Anyone know whats going on?
Anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like you only got the os partially, try to redownload and check that the file size matches mentioned. To fix your boot loop follow install instructions for the original os128 (hold window button on startup).

Had the same issue with the last release.

I held STOP to load os128, then installed a redownloaded 128xl.

Ok so where do i find a list of the right file sizes?
Seasinz, thanks, the stop button method has helped, but will i always have to hold stop? i own the jjos os 128xl but cant get it to load from files that i originally had working. any idea what is happening?

Ah yes, could've been stop button. I was trying to remember out of my head. Thnx.

OP no you don't have to do that every time, just once.

what os does it load, it should tell you on startup.
it's possible you're ending up in os2xl instead of os128.
if so use either the stop button or tap tempo to switch between the two, once you make it in to os128 you should be able to reinstall 128xl.

Well it seems the os128xl v1.33 file was the problem, then for some reason when i redownloaded that same file, after installing the os128 and holding the stop button and reinstalling the os128xl v1.33 everything worked.
Thanks for the help guys.
